THEMED CORPORATE EVENTS
To showcase the Thermal Product, we created an event that boasted a "hot" side of the room and a "cold" side of the room. We incorporated thermal imaging technology from FLIR allowing attendees to experience how heat and cold work when surfaces are insulated.
Virtual K&B Showrooms and Home Automation
Eric Goranson, CKD is a Certified Kitchen Designer with the National Kitchen and Bath Association for nearly 20 years and has been designing since 1993. As a nationally syndicated radio talk show host on “Around the House with Eric G”, Eric talks with homeowners and contractors about remodeling and new construction techniques every week. He also hosts the podcast “Around the Toolbox” that is a feature every week just for the building trades. His podcast is now heard internationally and with about half of the listening audience being from the trades, his show has great support from the contracting community. Eric also speaks nationally on Smart Home technology including lighting controls and whole house automation, construction techniques, interior design, as well as best practices for contractors and remodelers. Eric has managed everything from home builders, design firms, to custom cabinet shops and has been involved in thousands of projects being constructed or remodeled.
High Performance Building & Remodelilng
Kevin Ireton graduated Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Kentucky with a degree in English, and then went to work as a carpenter for 10 years. In 1986, he joined the staff of Fine Homebuilding magazine, rose through the ranks and was named chief editor in 1992. Kevin held the position for 17 years, a record in the company that stands to this day. Circulation, revenue and advertising all increased during his tenure, and for three years running, Fine Homebuilding landed on the Chicago Tribune’s list of 50 Best Magazines. This was back in the day when there were 17,000 magazines published in this country.
Over the years, Kevin has lectured and provided Hands-On Demonstrations at the National Association of Home Builder’s International Builder’s Show, the National Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, the Forest Products Society, the annual conference of the Timber Framer’s Guild and the Harvard Graduate School of Design.
He stepped down as Fine Homebuilding’s chief editor in 2009, but remains on the masthead as editor-at-large, contributing several articles each year, and demonstrating building tips in videos for the magazines web site. Kevin lives in western Connecticut and works as a freelance writer and remodeling contractor.
High Performance Building, Remodeling and Roofing Expert
Walter Tomala, Jr. is an industry-recognized expert in professional home building, remodeling, roofing and education. President of TNT General Contracting, Past President of the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Western Massachusetts, Past President of Home Builders & Remodelers Association of Massachusetts and was a Director for the National Association of Homebuilders. Tomala served as advisor on two Extreme Makeover: Home Edition projects. Tomala frequently presents hands-on training courses at IBS, JLC Live, LBM Expo and works with many manufacturers providing in-booth training at trade shows around the country. He works closely with local trade schools, and other adult learning programs. He is a recipient of the Edward R. Pedersen Distinguished Service Award. Tomala’s extensive and varied experiences in the industry as a professional contractor make him uniquely qualified to educate other contractors at a variety of levels in high-performance building.
